All Cisterns Go

May 25, 2015 Leave a comment

I’d heard tales of this rare beast, but had never seen one in the flush. Ugh. It’s going straight into the Hall of Fame – problem is, who sent it? A mixup in my filing system means this one has no submitter – please claim this gem if it’s yours!

EDIT: thanks to Honae MacNeill for letting me know this brilliant PSN was spotted by her in Sydney NSW.

This Pun Shop Name, spotted by Marc Burns in South Lake Tahoe, Nevada, puzzles me. I feel like it has to go in the Hall of Fame, yet I can’t help wondering if ‘Up Shirt Creek’ is a place I want to be? Nevertheless, a brilliant use of pun-ness.

The Best Little Paw House

Make your way directly into the Hall of Fame, Sir. This is the best little name I’ve seen for a dog groomer outside of Texas. Bravo to Marc Burns for spotting it in Shepparton, Victoria. I wonder if they offer breeding services?

Moulin Pooch

I’m going to put this in the Hall of Fame – not because it’s a great Pun Shop Name, but because it just tries SO HARD. If only ‘Rouge’ and ‘Pooch’ sounded alike… they don’t? Let’s just go for it anyway, no one will care. Spotted by Josh Ferrett in San Francisco.

Cakes En More

I’m putting this straight in the Hall of Fame because, for me, it represents everything great about Pun Shop Names. This little cake shop is located in Enmore, NSW. Sure, the owner could have gone with a boring name… Enmore Cake Shop? But he/she took a risk and now this clever little name puts a smile on every local’s face. Good spotting, Dan Foster.
