Sew Simple
It’s so simple to join our Top Punters list – just send in a Pun Shop Name like this! Spotted by first time punter Judy in Canberra ACT.
All You Knit is Love
I’m putting this in the Hall of Fame, both for its fairly tortured pun and reference to a Beatles song (both things I love). Not a bad start by first-time punter Michelle Keomany, who spotted this ‘spainful’ PSN in Barcelona. You can check out her blog here.
Always in Stitches
I bet the owner of this craft shop in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida USA, thought his hilarious PSN would never get old. I also bet that after answering the phone with it all day, the employees are about ready to stab themselves in the eye with a knitting needle. Well done to prolific punster Jonathan Schneider for finding it.
Fabricadabra
A drum-roll please… This magical Pun Shop Name was spotted by Mel Campbell, but if anyone could take a shot of the shop at 154 Victoria Street, Brunswick VIC, I’d be very grateful. They’re ‘magicians with fabric’, as you can plainly see here.
Afez of the Heart
I don’t know what to say. Genius. Straight into the Hall of Fame and thank you to Tim Norton who spotted this brilliant Turkish/Moroccan ‘Souk’ in Bunbury WA. To find out more about Afez of the Heart, click here.
Darn It & Stitch
Darn it if this isn’t a darn good Pun Shop Name. Found in Oxford UK by Dan Woodroff. Makes me think ‘Darn Nation’ and ‘Darn It All’ would be good haberdasher PSNs too.
Sew and Tell
Here’s a first: This Pun Shop Name was sent in by two different people on exactly the same day. From Berry NSW, thank you to both Georgia O’Brien and Jade Ramsey for bringing this Pun Shop Name into class. You both get an A+.
Wool and the Gang
“Celebrate good puns, come on!” When Cool and the Gang released ‘Celebration’ in 1980, could they have imagined that Kylie Minogue would become famous for it 12 years later? Or that they would be the inspiration for this knitting-related Pun Shop Name in New York City? Thanks for the shot KC (and the Sunshine Band?)
Prints Charming
When I spotted this little fabric shop in Annandale NSW, there were a number of disappointed looking women hanging around outside. Weird.

Material World
A Madonna reference? A profound comment on modern society? Or just a fairly boring name for a material shop? Next time you’re in Erina NSW, stop by and ask them which one it is.
